Kinderella
Kinderella, also known as Miss Universe, is a woman who married Wapol after he became the head of his own corporation. Two years after that, she became the queen of Black Drum Kingdom when Wapol became its king.
Appearance
Kinderella is a tall, slender woman with purple hair whose mouth is often seen open. She wore long purple dresses, and was seen by others as beautiful. After becoming the queen, she added a dark cape with bat wings on the shoulders, a hood with a crow design, long light-colored gloves, and an eye-mask.
Personality
Kinderella enjoys listening to her husband insulting other people and laughs profusely when he does so, indicating that she is as rude as he is. She sometimes adds “-universe” as a suffix at the end of her sentences.
Like many others, Kinderella has a unique laugh: “Tama-no-Koshi koshi koshi” (タマノコシコシコシ?)

Translation and Dub Issues
Her name is a portmanteau of the fairy-tale character Cinderella and the Japanese term for gold (金, Kin?), reflecting her “gold-digging” character. This is confirmed by her signature laugh, derived from a popular Japanese shorthand for marrying into money (玉の輿, Tama no koshi?, lit. “jeweled palanquin”).
The VIZ manga translates her laugh as “Gold-dig-dig-dig-dig.”
Trivia
- Her name may also be a reference to Kinder Surprise, chocolate eggs famously packaged with toys inside (befitting her husband’s toy empire).
- “Miss Universe” is an annual international beauty contest that is run by the Miss Universe organization.
- Yukiyo Fujii, her Japanese voice actress, has also competed in a beauty contest, namely Miss International Japan.
