Shimotsuki Furiko

Shimotsuki Furiko

Shimotsuki Furiko is a member of the Shimotsuki Family, a direct descendant of the legendary samurai Shimotsuki Ryuma and the older sister of Shimotsuki Ushimaru. She is also the wife of Roronoa Pinzoro, the mother of Roronoa Arashi, and the grandmother of Roronoa Zoro.

Based on her silhouette, Furiko had long hair and prominent eyelashes.

Furiko was born in Wano Country, but illegally departed from there 55 years ago with her clansman Shimotsuki Kozaburo, Minatomo, and 22 other people. Three years later, they settled down in what became Shimotsuki Village in the East Blue, where Furiko married a local swordsman named Roronoa Pinzoro. At some point, the couple had a son named Roronoa Arashi.

  • Furiko can refer to a person who rolls dice in Japanese. This follows the gambling-themed names of Zoro’s relatives.
