Tera was the daughter of a bandit from the East Blue. She is the mother of Roronoa Zoro, as well as the wife of Roronoa Arashi.

Appearance

Based on her silhouette, Tera had long hair worn in a ponytail and prominent eyelashes.

History

Tera was the daughter of a bandit from the East Blue. At some point, she married a man named Roronoa Arashi from the Shimotsuki Village, and twenty-one years ago, they had a son named Roronoa Zoro. She later died of an illness.

Trivia

  • Tera (寺) means “temple” in Japanese. Her name may be derived from terasen (寺銭), literally “temple money”, a fee charged by a gambling house. This follows the gambling-themed names of Zoro’s relatives.
